  • Juan de Nova (Scattered Islands, Dec. 2013): 10 days for seaweed collection and inventory onboard Antsiva in collaboration with Dr. P. Chabanet (Université de la Réunion) and Dr. M. Zubia (ARVAM, La Réunion) – BIORECIE project.

  • South Africa (throughout 2011-2014): Various field trips of several days along the South and East coasts.

  • Okinawa (May 2013): 2 weeks for collecting Sargassum and other selected taxa samples in collaboration with Pr. Horigushi (University of Sapporo) and Pr. J. Bolton (UCT).

  • Glorieuses (Scattered Island, Dec. 2012): 10 days for seaweed collection and inventory onboard Antsiva in collaboration with Dr. P. Chabanet (Université de la Réunion) and Dr. M. Zubia (ARVAM, La Réunion) – BIORECIE project.

  • Hokkaido (Jul. 2012): 2 weeksfor collecting Sargassum and other selected taxa samples in collaboration with Pr. Horigushi (University of Sapporo) and Pr. J. Bolton (UCT).

  • Madagascar (Jun. 2012): 2 weeks in northern Madagascar for seaweed collection and inventory in collaboration L. Scott (ASCLME project, South Africa) and the NGO Cétamada (Madagascar).

  • Mozambique (Jun. 2012): 1 weeks in Pemba for collecting Sargassum and other selected taxa in collaboration with Pr. S. Bandeira (University of Maputo) and Pr. J. Bolton (UCT).

  • Europa (Scattered Island, Nov. 2011): 10 days for seaweed collection and inventory onboard Antsiva in collaboration with Dr. P. Chabanet (Université de la Réunion) and Dr. M. Zubia (ARVAM, La Réunion) – BIORECIE project.

  • Mayotte (May-Jun. 2010): 20 days onboard Tara for seaweed collection and inventory in the context of the Tara Ocean Expeditions.

  • Maldives (Baa Atoll, Maldives, May-Jun. 2009): 2 weeks on a dive boat for seaweed collection and inventory in the context of the Maldivian government management plan of Baa atoll’s biodiversity.

  • Moorea biocode project (Moorea, French Polynesia, Oct. 2008): 1 month at the Gump station of Moorea, University of California –Berkeley, for seaweed collection and inventory in the context of barcoding all species of Moorea.

  • Suva (Fiji, May 2007): 2 weeks at the Marine Studies, USP (University of South Pacific), analysis of Sargassum diversity and ecology and study of the phycological collection of SUVA.

  • Santo expedition (Vanuatu, Aug. 2006): 3 weeks at the Luganville Maritime College for seaweed collection and inventory in the context of the MNHN Santo 2006 expedition.

  • Herbarium of the Museums of Lund (LD), Copenhagen (C) and Paris (PC) (Mar.-Apr. 2006), 3 weeks, study of historic collections and type specimens.

  • Iles des Pins (New-Caledonia, Dec. 2005): 2 weeks aboard the Oceanographic Vessel ALIS for seaweed collection and inventory.
